Spring has arrived. Tulip & daffodil leaf tips are above the ground, but look what greeted them this morning.Today I decided to try out the 'rumour' that you can dye eggs using silk fabric. Since I just happen to have a few hundred ties, many of which are silk I 'volunteered' 3 of them, 2 of which had stains on them. This is what resulted. Click here for the full instructions.

I live with my husband and Gypsy & Oreo, our two flatcoat retrievers in the prettiest little village of Merrickville. Both our sons are out and about, working for a living (military officer & mining engineer) & travelling the world when possible. Retirement has given me the time and energy to pursue many activities that were all too often subservient to the demands of a full time job
