Day 2 - Stephen C. Foster State Park

In the morning I return to the boardwalk without dogs. Roughly 150 photos later I have a few good shots for my collection – mostly reflections & water lilies.The afternoon is occupied with exploring the swamp in a rented flat-bottom aluminum boat with 6 hp 4-stroke engine. I find the setup excessively noisy except when the motor is in neutral. Despite this we see dozens and dozens of alligators snoozing on logs and on top of peat beds in addition to turkey vultures and turtles, but no snakes of which there are some 36 varieties in the swamp including 4 poisonous ones.
